“a collection of photos from the younger years of my life”

This collection of photos came from a feeling of adolescence. These photos weren’t initially intended to be a series, but retroactively I felt they were all embodying the same feelings. There isn’t a concept as much as it is an aesthetic, or that feeling I’m attempting to compose or recapture. I was inspired by a lot of music I was listening to at the time, the feeling of being in my “prime youth”, trying to make it through high school. Shot composition was the most important part of all of these, each being extremely intentional. Each spot, angle, and time of day was intentional to capture the feeling. The Pacific Northwest where I grew up is extremely woodsy, and I often played in the forest, so this was an attempt to pay homage to the beauty the woods developed as I got older, and my appreciation for everything it had to offer.
