2023, collage made with magazine clippings, enhanced elements using Photoshop
The inspiration behind this one was many things. I love the chaos of a collage. I combed through dozens of vintage magazines, clipping anything that made me feel something. For the piece, I was advised by one of my teachers at the time to make 3 alternate versions of this collage, and work from there. While I did incorporate elements from unreleased versions of the piece, I felt that this one specifically had the most to say, and was the one I was most happy with. I wanted an ominous, eerie vibe to the collage. There isn’t a single primary feature or key element to highlight in this one, just the chaos. To observe this piece, I advise not focusing on one element, just letting your eyes follow the piece as it feels natural.
